Poetry 101 Rehab: Decisions

doubt.
this could go
either way.
it’s completely unpredictable.
(attempt at further
discerning
will fail)

educated.
guesswork factors
in too much.
try to draw up
lists, pros and cons.
(there are
too many
unknown factors)

consequence.
ripples that come
from throwing a stone
into a pond.
(you never know quite
how far they
will reach)

intelligent.
easier to see both
sides,
allegedly.
(doesn’t make a
conclusion any easier
to find)

snap.
settle on something,
maybe too quick
and hope things will
work out.
(allow space for
human error)

impulse.
move quickly
time is short and
something needs to be
done.
(if it goes wrong, you
get the blame)

opportunity.
it’s here.
take it or leave it.
(best hurry though
before someone else
jumps in)

neat.
too messy, too
involved
to be a simple process.
(don’t think it too
easy lest you
mess up)

sensible.
it’s logical to
approach from every
angle, take time to think.
(where’s the fun
in that?)

  1. Fantastic response – took me to about halfway to realise the first letter of each verse spells out the prompt word – so an acostic poem if each verse was written as a long line. Excellent ๐Ÿ™‚
