An Update, An Announcement

Hello.

Been a while. Did you cut your hair? I haven’t blogged on here in ages, and you might have noticed posts disappearing from here. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to do with writing, and crafting, and blogging, and the whole nine yards. I thought, after finally making plans, I’d come by here to discuss some of that with you.

Firstly, I’m going to keep diminishing the posts on here, and move them over my new website. My website is going to focus, eventually, on a mix of writing and books and fibre-arts – I taught myself basic crochet, I can basic-knit, and I’ve discovered a mysterious other art I want to learn.

What does that mean for Tucked Into a Corner?
I’m so glad you asked! TIAC is sticking around; I’m going to keep this blog awake as blank space while I draw up plans and ideas, thoughts and things. I’m going to put together a Twitter account for it, at the start, because I do indeed have plans. I won’t go into them here, but suffice it to say I’m taking on a project of my own after leaving my editorial position on Cauldron Anthology.

The posts.
As I type I have over 1,300 posts still in my “published” and as you can imagine, I don’t want to raze it all to the ground. Using the website I mentioned before, I’m going to slowly trickle posts in, between 2-5 times a week, and polish them up. Take it from a giant waterfall of stuff to carefully curated content. Fall back in love with my own work. Oh, god, does that sound vain? Probably. I have work on this blog that I don’t even remember now and yet if I revisit it, it’s a bit like looking in a storage chest and finding things that pleasantly surprise me. Mostly. Ultimately, I’m going to spend the next year or so culling the weeds from the flowers.

The literary magazine though.
On it. I’m going to be starting one of my own, which will be itself different to TIAC, as TIAC will have a different function.
