NaPoWriMo 5 (a street’s memoir)

silent observer,
are you tired yet?
let me help you
tell your story.

here, you saw the couple:
young.
in love. arguing and
making up.

there, a girl trailed through
the rain – let the bus
splash water
at her feet.

and here you saw
thousands of people
going about life.

speak, please –

sorry, i forgot.
you’re silent.

leave me my
guessing game:

i shall make up your
stories for you.

(at least, the ones
you won’t tell
me)

  1. This silent observer intrigues me. Why is the observer silent? And why is the speaker making stories? I see this as an interesting take on people-watching. Great poem 🙂
