It’s been a sleepy Thursday that’s tried to be Friday and didn’t quite manage. We’re on the downward slope to the weekend, it’s just a slow journey.
The roundup: Last week I re-ran the challenge to allow responses.
Jessica from masterselftherapy brought us a few thoughts about why she (spoiler alert) wouldn’t want to go to outer space. There’s certainly something to it, though I think it could be an interesting challenge.
solsdottir talks a bit about going to space and presents the argument for going into space based on a comic. Confession, I am not very knowledgable about comics, but this one sounds interesting. It definitely transcends simply hopping on a space shuttle.
Lastly, Yen from Little Calico’s Journal chips in with sci-fi movies and a few highlights (or lowlights) of being in space. Reason 7 especially appeals to me. Also, I think I’m going to have to expand my pop-culture horizons.
Anecdote and Prompt Time: Today I was at work, in the lunchroom, as you do. My boss appeared. None of this is unusual. Here is the strange thing: I was seated in such a place I could see all three doors. The lunchroom is intersected a bit by the kitchenette. Mr Boss appeared, but I never saw him leave.
Your prompt, therefore (10 September) is magic. I leave it to you: fiction, non-fiction.
