Word Crush Wednesday: Milton Berle

This week’s quotes come to you from a quick browse on a quotes website. Normally I’d be all for hunting out a quote, digging one from the earth and all of that, but I’m staring down the barrel of two exams job interviews tomorrow, so I’m cutting some slack.

Also, it’s two quotes this time, both from Milton Berle. You see, I liked one, and then I saw another I liked. Rather than try to decide between the two, I’m taking both.

The humourous: We owe a lot to Thomas Edison – if it wasn’t for him, we’d be watching television by candlelight.

… Though I suppose if people could figure out how to make/build/etc a TV, they’d figure out light. Only we wouldn’t be crediting Edison for it.

The motivating (I have three interviews in two days, I need all the enthusiasm I can find): If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
